Thanks for the suggestion. He doesn't have Google Desktop installed. I am wondering if it's a security patch or something like that.

    Cannot open insterted e-mail

Hi I have an end user that is able to open up attachments in his Outlook, but he cannot open insterted e-mail items. When he double clicks on the inserted item, it doesn't do anything, nor can he save the attachment to launch it from his desktop. There are no errors that appear. I've tried...

updated recurring meeting instance not showing in OWA

An end user complained that an updated instance of a recurring appointment is not showing in her OWA. It shows in her regular Outlook client, but not in OWA. I have verified that this is the case. We are using Exchange 2003 SP1 and Outlook 2003 SP2. I had this happen once before and I was...

Outlook 2003 Out of Memory or System Resources error

Hi. I am hoping that someone has heard of this problem and will have some suggestions because I'm out of ideas. I have an end user who is a calendar delegate. She accepts meetings on her boss's behalf. Her boss is being sent one series of invitations that she is not able to accept or...

Thanks very much! I was able to install it on the 8125 and play the .wav files.

Listening to .wav files on the new Cingular 8125

I found out that the Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC does not support compressed .wav files, only uncompressed. It will not support ADPCM or CCITT U-Law formats, only PCM. Oh well, I guess I'll spend some time searching the web for a free audio player.

    GoodLink Schedule

Nope. The GoodLink server polls Exchange for new messages on a continual basis and that is very appealing for most people. What type of handheld are you using? Usually e-mail notifications on the Treos or 8125's are not loud enough to wake people up. I'd suggest that you turn your handheld...

Listening to .wav files on the new Cingular 8125

We are testing GoodLink on a few of the new Cingular 8125's. We love the new devices so far but we've found that we cannot listen to .wav files. We're getting the error "cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported". Does anyone know of a program that is compatible with...

    Blackberry 7290 and GoodLink

Sorry, the GoodLink software will not run on that device. It will only run on RIM 950's and RIM 957's, along with quite a few other non-RIM devices such as the Treo 650's.

    Lauding GoodLink!

I agree too! We've used both solutions and have been won over by GoodLink.

Outlook"Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter-- "

Try this: Change the task view to simple list. Make sure that there are not any filters or customization on the view. If there are, remove them. Choose "actions" and then "save task order". This may correct the problem.

Backup of Priv.edb taking over double the time.

Is there virus scan software running on the server while it is being backed up? Sometimes that will slow a backup down.

    Anyone using Goodlink out there?

My company has converted from BlackBerry to GoodLink. We've been using GoodLink for over three years. We love GoodLink and have had very few problems with the product. When I do have a problem, their tech support is GREAT!!!! I am supporting over 400 handhelds but only a few dozen of them...

    Blackberry Vs Treo

I support about 385 GoodLink users. I have found that GoodLink is just as fast (I personally think it's faster) in regards to delivering messages....but then again, I have not supported the BlackBerry product for about three years so I'm sure that RIM has addressed the latency issues that our...

Distribution Lists Permissions - E2003 Newbie Question

Thanks for your reply. In Exchange 5.5, I could give multiple people the rights to edit members of distribution lists. It looks like I can only give one person the permission via the "managed" tab in ADUC. So does that mean that only one person can have the rights to edit members of...

    Blackberry Vs Treo

Hi yanks2112. That is not correct. We use GoodLink and we are set up as Exchange --> GoodLink Server --> Firewall --> Device. We switched from BlackBerry to GoodLink back in 2001 and I like the GoodLink solution much better than BlackBerry (as rockjockb, mentions, both from the administrative...

Distribution Lists Permissions - E2003 Newbie Question

How do I give users the ability to modify members of Global Address Book distribution lists in Exchange 2003? I'm assuming that I do this on the distribution list object's security tab in ADUC but I'm not sure what type of permission that I need to grant. Thanks much for your responses!

    Resource Mailbox Questions

We just migrated to Exchange 2003 and I have a few questions about how resource mailboxes work. I noticed that when a person sends an invite to the resource account, the e-mail remains in the resource account's inbox. Is there a way to have the e-mails be automatically deleted after the...
