We are running a network in a High School with approx 1300 users. We need a program which can tell us who is logged onto a workstation on our NT Domain. We would like a program that can keep track of what a user is doing, but like Novell, have the ability to administrate connection access.

I see. Then your only hope is by posting your problem with Compaq technical dept or surf the net for an alternative way into the BIOS. It strikes me that Compaq technicians must have better access to the BIOS than you so there must be a back door. Good Luck

It sounds like a BIOS problem. In replacing the battery you have cleared the settings to the manufacturers default settings. Whose BIOS is it? You may be able to go their web site and see the effect of their settings/configurations. It may be something simple like entering SVGA instead of VGA.

Wow.. what a message. It sounds like your connections are O.K. I assume that you have set up the second HDD in the BIOS. Have you tried looking in the BIOS after you switch back on to see if the second HDD settings are still there.
