In the echo schedules you can set it up to backup to whatever tape is in the drive or to a specific tape. if you have it configured to any tape and it's asking for a specific tape it may be a problem with either the software or the drivers. try uninstalling and reinstalling the software, and...
LostinMontana - Yes.
xxxyyzz1 - sounds as though it's not detecting the end of tape marking indeed, but that would be a problem with the tape if it's able to read everything else, I would think. Unless of course the head is misaligned somehow...

it's probably either a problem with the tapes header, or a problem with the head of the drive. the easiest way to test this is to stop windows from loading using the F8 button when it says "starting windows xx" then try putting a tape in, if it still kicks it out, it'll never take that...
Just to test it out, you may want to try just using the NTBackup and see whether you get any different results with hardware compression enabled...just to see whether it is perhaps a setting within backup exec. You may also want to try disabling hardware compression in backup exec and using...
With the tape in the drive, have you tried telling the RSM to "inventory" the drive, which should cause it to try and detect any media inside the drive? If it still shows the tapes as not found, you may wish to try the Tape@once software and see if it can recognize the tape.
The ADR50 uses hardware compression, so under most circumstances it is able to achieve 2:1 compression if you have hardware compression enabled, however it is possible that without that hardware compression enabled, or if the data in the 15GB is already compressed, it will not be able to be...
Yes I still have it, it's in the original package and comes with just the one tape that came with it in the original package. As far as how much I want for it...I guess like half the MSRP for each. so $500 for the ADR2.120 and ADR2.60 $325.
I was able to access www.1vision.com and www.1visionsoftware.com -- no problems...although they do still list Onstream as one of their partners on the site...so they don't exactly keep up with the times..
Does this happen with all your tapes? from the message it's saying there is an inconsistancy on the media...did you try formatting using ostape? I'm also a little concered with it reporting C not being a valid drive..
