    Bizarre issue with PDF forms

If you move the template to the desktop, open/save then move back to the server, does the error still exist? If you move one of the documents that was created from the template to the desktop, are you able to edit it as well? If so, try saving it on the desktop, then move back to the server to...

In Livecycle, you have the option to add an 'Image field' That looks like it will allow a user add an image to the pdf. They just click on the field and it will prompt them to choose a file.

To make it even easier to find for future reference, it sounds like this may make a good FAQ.

How can I let my pdf print a certain word depending on field input?

Laurens, If using livecycle designer, you should be able to do something as a calc event using FormCalc: var total = sum (Table1.Row2.Sum + Table1.Row10.Sum) if (total <= 0) then "Low" elseif (total <= 14) then "Medium" elseif (total <=37) then "High" endif ____ The Table1.Row2.Sum can also...

    PDF Digital Signature question

Fred, Thank you for the feedback. Just curious, is the suggestion to be to have the server just be a location where the signature files would be stored, so the users would have to log into the network to access their digital signature? Greatly appreciate your input/feedback. -Brandon

    PDF Digital Signature question

Greetings, I work with a local Fire Department and we are working to go as paperless as possible. One of the options we have been looking into/using is the digital signatures in the pdf files created by Livecycle ES 8.2 In looking, it appears that in order to have a central location for the...

    NEAX 2000 IVS SMDR Problem

Thanks for the suggestions. One last thing I wanted to ask. We are also using the AP00 card for our voicemail link. If we run the D101 reset, will that clear the settings for the voicemail link? Thanks much!

    NEAX 2000 IVS SMDR Problem

Greets all, need a hand if anyone can offer it. We have an old (lots of dust) NEAX 2000 IVS. Previously we had the SMDR running out of the system into a call accounting software. For some reason, it stopped working. We have taken the cable through a straight db9 cable and into a com port on...

    911 CALL QUESTION, ARS/AAR ?

Alert is a button you can assign to a phone, yours, the attendant, etc. Calling 911 as a test, you can indeed tell them you are doing a test on your phone system, but I would suggest doing the test with a non 911 number first. If you can find the problem before hand... If alert is assigned to...

    911 CALL QUESTION, ARS/AAR ?

If you want to find out if it's the crisis alert causing a delay, set your home phone number in the ARS and mark it for the crisis alert, then call it. You can see the delay. (make sure to warn whomever is watching the crisis alert though before testing) Also, make sure the max/min digits are...

    Norstar MICS Feature Question

You'll have to pardon me, I've been an Avaya tech for a while, so I'm not as familiar with the features and the associated names within the Norstar. My company has a Norstar MICS on release 6 of the software. A feature I'm looking for in referred to (in the Avaya world) as EC500. The feature...

On a preloader, is there a way to get the file to reload

Thanks for the idea oldnewbie, that's a great idea indeed. I do have another thought. Is there a way in AS that after a period of time in a preloader if the bytes do not increase to have it "time out"? So if after 30 seconds if the bytes have not increased, it progresses to something else...

On a preloader, is there a way to get the file to reload

Thanks oldnewbie. I think in a round about way you've given me a solution that will work. I think I'll put an "I'm stuck" button there that will load the same file with #.swf then when they proceed they'll continue in order to the next .swf without the #, in case they get stuck again.

On a preloader, is there a way to get the file to reload

Long and short: Customer is D/L'ing the movie and a preloader is showing. For some reason if they file becomes corrupt (ie transfer gets interrupted, etc), they keep getting stuck when they refresh the page. We are having them delete the temporary internet files and it is able then to...

Having a Difficult Time Integrating Flash Ojbect

First, make sure your stage size is the same as the flash box itself. Also, make sure that the parameters you have set in the code for the flash file are set correctly as well. (ie they match the stage size) Lastly, I've found that flash will "over lay" over HTML, so when you are positioning...

Where does the IPO stand now a days?

Thanks all for the feedback. Though I was a tech, and we ran into various issues, most of them we were able to resolve. There were the occasional where we'd even stump Avaya, but it's nice to hear the system is moving along in features. Appreciate all the responses.

Where does the IPO stand now a days?

A little over a year and a half ago, I was an IPO tech, working on VMPro, IPO 406v2, etc. I know the system still had a lot of kinks to get worked out of it and was curious the overall impression people had of the system now from a year ago. From the posts I've been seeing, it still has it's...
