jimoblak has a good suggestion. If you use ATM deluxe, you can do a report (from tools) to check recognized fonts.

If there is a lot of formatting to be done, I would suggest using Xpress tags in the Word document, then saving that as text only and importing.
You can set up the facing pages and adjust the size of the automatic text box on each right and left page as needed. The nice thing about Quark with...
The only thing I see on the Quark site (Have had this error many times myself) is this:

Their support search really sucks.

It's doing that because one is the first page number and facing pages it will always be on right for odd numbers. To get it "fixed" try setting the section to something like "A" and start with cover C as page 1 in the start numbering. Then page one as however. You can start...
Define the site. Site>New Site... and choose that folder location in the browse. It will check and you can go from there. You can always edit after viewing the home page definition. Hope I'm understanding what you are trying to do.

Can you send batches of pages - like 1-20, 21-40 and so on? I usually start that way to find what section may have problems.

Can you (once it is in DW) make it a library item there for the site? I mean, create the library item directly in DW by importing the pop-up.

Find and replace is a good option. Open your file that contains the most formatting and copy/paste what has to come out into the find/replace window and search entire local site. I'm not sure of a "quicker" way - had to do the same thing for an old site we had that was overwhelmingly...
From the Quark.com known issues section
"PDF Filter
* QuarkXPress will fail to import a PDF version 1.5 file
* If you import a QuarkXPress PDF file that contains an imported monotone, duotone, or multi-tone EPS file, a PostScript error occurs when you print the layout as composite; if you...
WizyQyg is correct about the original formmail script. One alternative

There should be plenty of form development help in the Macromedia help files. It's really not that difficult. The calls don't take much space.

Sharkboots brings up a good point. Quickest way to go.
You can also (in word) select the table and use convert table to text using tabs for the columns. Then resave the document as text only (.txt extension) and import that to Quark - You will have to "reformat" but at least will be...
I knew I was thinking too hard. I've been away from the tables too long.
Thanks deecee. I'll see tomorrow if I can make them happy. I may be back.

For some reason I've crashed. Trying to create a horizontal navigation/menu bar where each div (i.e., button) will be a different color. Thought I should have a container div and nest each, but can't seem to figure out the code - originally was to be all one
div#buttons {
display: block...
Yes to paragraph two - that is the import - but it should have a .txt extension. And yes, the style remains until another is applied - so if you have six consecutive paragraphs use the stylesheet "Text" and then one using "Head1" you would set that as "@Head1:"...
I believe that the reason the special character ascii code uses the slash is it is only input once - not to surround the character.
So, to have a paragraph that uses a stylesheet named "Text", in my Word or Notepad document I would code as follows:
@Text:The paragraph has a font of...
Good point, jimoblak. And if it needs to be repacked and sent back, maybe francheng already has winzip.

I'm not sure of on-line documentation - the basics are in the back of the Quark book, but it uses an ascii format for such things as em dashes, bullets, characters with accent marking.
The basics are the same as HTML for the character encoding. Bold is in <b> except that the closing tag does...
Not sure your Quark version, but there are Xtensions for that - depending on how much money you want to spend - more power, more bucks.
Are you using some database, or just manually entering in Word and merging from there?
