Disable Windows Integrated Authentication, since it requires client to use latest version of Internet Explorer
Just use Plain-text authentication
I had clients who used Opera and Netscape web browsers and this only worked with OWA after I disabled Windows Integ Authen and just used Clear text...
You may want to consider implementing OWA for your Exch2k migration, since you have a good server
But I would still recommend having multiple server for frontend and backend implementation

Look for setting in either Outlook or in the Mail properties of the Control Panel

yep, ignore it if you are certain you turned off relaying. They are still attempting to relay, but cannot
Give it a day or two. These will go away and change to other addresses if you check the queue again
Use MS Outlook;
Login to Outlook connected to Exch 5.5 under user account with Administrator rights access
create an archive folder and just copy Public Folder contents fr Exch5 server
this will create a local copy of the archive PST file
Now login to Outlook connected to the Exch2k server...
