don't know about archive bits because I'm on unix, but what I do is: *) full backup -> offsite *) next day full backup -> onsite So all inc. or diff. rely on the onsite backup, you can do a full restore without the offsite tapes. I hope that's what you want ...

Just start the group where your backup-server is in: savegrp -c backup-server Group_with_backupserver
