That sounds more like a hardware problem and not a software problem. To verify, can you unconnect your harddrive and boot to floppy?

It could be the antivirus, but I think that's a lame cop out, most antivirus software seem to be well behaved now.
What does you CPU chart look like? Does it spike up to 100% then drop out to...
How much memory do you have installed in that computer?

Have you tried to upgrade Outlook Express by doing an Internet Explorer update? I am running version 6.0.28. Trying doing an Internet Explore update to see if that will repair the Outlook Express problem.

You can download my ebook I made a couple of years ago.

Hey everyone.
I got something I can't figure out if I can do this or not.
I have a Windows 2000 Server setup as a DC, DHCP, and DNS with client logins. It has a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.10
I have another machine that is a Windows 2000 Workstation with a modem installed. I call it the...
I think you guys are really onto something here, but the main problem I see is that the server can not gain access to the outside world.
In the LAN TCP/IP properties of the server:
The server DNS as: 192.168.0.10 (itself) and a default gateway set to: 192.168.0.1 (the other computer computer...
I don't quite understand what your asking me to do.

Make sure you don't have the "Enable Firewall" setting turned on your NIC that you have enable ICS. Just disable it for now to see if that is causing the problem.
Are you using FIXED IP addresses for the machines? Chris Elston
