I have a big problem in our native E2k3 environment. Last Saturday I removed our last Exchange 5.5 and switched to native mode. Now I have the problem that all Outlook 97 clients freez occasionally. Sometimes when they print or when they send an new mail. Even if they want to open an attachement...
Hi,
you can technically change licensing mode from per server to per seat. This is no problem at all. This message box is standard microsoft. You can ignore that.
The other thing is to make sure you have the right CAL's purchased. License violation can be very expensive.
If you have any...
Hi,
perhaps you have a problem with your DNS. Are your clients using DHCP or static IP adresses? If you use static IP adresses make sure that they register automatically at your DNS. Also have a look at the DNS configuration on your server. Try to switch your zone from secure updates to...
By default Windows Servers which have DC functions do not allow any user without administrative privileges log on. Make sure that your user belongs to the right group. You can deactivate this function by using GPO. (But I wouldn't do that.)
Windows 2000 AD supports both. The "old" NetBios domain\username and the DNS name. (in mixed and native mode)

On a W2k DC open "Active Directory Domains and Trusts" Right click on the Domain name and choose...
I've had this problem myself. In my case even a new installation of W2k did not help. Then I got a new mainboard from my reseller and it helped.
Check eventlog after your computer freezes. If there is nothing logged it is very likely a hardware problem.
Open NT-Explorer
Go to Tools, folder options and then file types.
Search the file extension you want to change the icon and click advanced. There you can change the icon.
Hope it helped.
I am using Arcserve 2000 SP4. After installing Terminal Services and Service Pack 3 I was not able to start Arcserve. It prompted for the installation media but when I put it into CDROM drive arcserve told me it was not the correct msi file. (I am sure it is!)
I removed Terminal Services but the...
