I have a MICS 5.0 over 1 PRI. When trying to place an outside call from a 7310, I dial 9-and the local number, and the display says "inv IE Content", and drops the call. After several attempts the call finally goes through.
Anybody know what this means, and how it can be fixed?
Thanks all. I will check on the B1/B2 channels, but I'm thinking if there was an assignement or contention issue, would it not give a busy signal of some sort? Doesn't 'no reply' indicate that something was tried to ring but the far end did not respond to the "handshake"?

I have an MICS 4.1 XC with NVM 4.0, with Cinphony ACD 3.4. I have not encountered this problem before, and I'm not sure how the ring again feature would come into play. But I'm all ears...
Thanks
The user's extension (245) is forwarded to the VM with F984. VM DN 333. When I call the ext internally with Intercom, the display says 'no reply' and dies. I call the DID and it goes straight to VM as it's supposed to. I take the ext off forward, and it's OK. I also tried forwarding with F4, and...
I heard of this before, and a different vendor said it was a Y2K issue on older VMs on NAMs, hopped back on the plane to Houston and was never heard of again. I don't see how that can be three years after the fact, but I probably don't know everything about it. We had to put in another NAM...
Try this:
If you have an MICS 4.1 or CICS 4.0 you can set up hunt groups for the day mode, and the night service for night mode with automatic or manual switch over. Software releases before that can do Incoming Line Groups (ILGs) instead, it's different programming. Which version do you have...

If this helps any, I finally found my own notes again on changing the IP adress on a NAM.

I'm about to do the same thing on the same scenario, but I need to replace the NVRAM cartridge as well, because there's a problem with memory loss. So I do need to do a back up and restore. Does this mean the system ID will change and I need to get another PRI code??? Say it ain't so..
Thanks everyone! That should explain it. Guess I need to have a serious word with the installer from back then.
Now, does this mean that I can take this old thing and plug it into a 1.1 that I have and it should work? Can I do a backup through it?
I have an old RAD (the big clunky one that says Meridian on it, not the FastRAD) on a MICS 4.1
I tried F9** and the display on the phone goes blank. I can't do any programming. I can direct connect to it with NRU 9.0. with a laptop.
I swapped with a FAST Rad and did a backup. While the FastRAD...
Maybe I'm missing the problem here, but it sounds to me it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. If the voicemail is set to do pager notification, that's what it is looking for. It does not expect any voice paths. If you set it do a regular number, also a cell phone, yes it will look for a...
Sounds like you have DIDs set up? Then you need to set the Prime Set under Lines -Target Lines to go to the particular extension. Received # is the last 3 digits (or four, whatever the CO sends) And assign each line to just one phone set (if this is really DID) under Terminals & Sets-Line...
Sounds like Redirect DN issue to me as well, but to make sure, check the target lines for each DID if the prime set is set to the each user's extension, not 221. Also, set the DRT to prime to like 12 or something.
Good luck, and remember to wait for the deedle-deedle dee dual tone cadence when...
Try bypassing the hunt group altogether with a daisy chain, by setting 221 to call forward to 222 on 4 rings and busy, 222 to CF to 223, and 223 to the voicemail after 6 rings but not on busy, so that 223's VM will not pick up all the calls. You won't have to mess with hunt groups at all.
And...
