Check to see if the IDE controller is set to DMA mode. On current CDROM drive PIO mode will give these symptom. If you can't find a place to set the mode (Advanced Settings tab on my system) you'll need different drivers.

By default the temp file is located where ever eseutil is started from. So if your prompt is at c:\ that where it starts. If you want to use another drive just have your prompt on that drive and use the full path to eseutil. If you forget the /t switch that is.

It depends which test(s) you run, how big is the IS, how much RAM on the server. I use C:\exchsrvr\bin\isinteg -pri -fix -L C:\exchsrvr\isintegpr.log -verbose -test alltests on 20 GB IS. It used to take 8 hours with 1 GB of RAM. I upgraded to 2 GB and it now takes 3 hours.
