Hola robctech,
No problemo!
Is your server plugged to DMZ port on a NAT-enabled firewall? if so, you may want to check into firewall config. to make sure there's also real world IP address assigned. Since your setup is not new, I won't suggest that it was improperly configured. All I'm...
Hola,
Not seeing IP address indicates a number of possibilities...
bad NIC, loose/broken cable, wrong subnet mask, etc.
What have you already looked into?
also, can you see/ping other servers/workstation from the questionable NT server?

Hola,
The first thing you might want to look into is the memory situation on the servers. When users (most noticable with MAC users) downloading/uploading large files simultaneously, Nt servers can come to a crawl.
Hope this helps!

Hola,
Make sure NIC settings says "Auto" for Speed and Negotiation. for some NIC, forcing "FULL DUPlEX" and "100Mbps" can cause more problem than help. also, be sure to obtain latest XP driver for your NIC.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
I have same problem, but running Version 9.0. I've tried pushing the remote agent again, but always failed for whatever reason. I had to manually install RANT32 on the servers after updating to latest build 4454.

Hi Friend,
It seems the Zip drive is the culprit.... I recall having similar problem with losing drive partition when Zip drive was installed. First try disconnecting it or uninstall Zip driver and load Windows normally. If partition came back, download latest Zip driver and install it...
Hi Friend,
I suspect Office 2000 is the culprit...
Did you have to reboot after installing Office 2000? If you didn't, then this could be why your mouse remains working after the installation. Office 2000 might have overwritten some dlls causing version conflict to the mouse and possibly the...
Hi Friend,
I do not think it's an OS problem!
You said ...
"The computer light comes on but that is it. I have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes before it will bootup."
I need clarification ...
After you notice nothing is going on, did you have to power down, wait for 10 to 15, and...
Hi Friend,
You have 2 options:
1. reinstall NT so that it can detect the new processor and install the multi-cpu kernels accordingly.
2. Or if you can get your hands on the following files from a multi-cpu system, you can write them over the existing files under DOS into WINNT\SYSTEM32...
