Basically the error is telling you exactly what it needs. It's missing a file called viewrpt.cwr. This is a viewer - you can't view reports without one. Find the file on your install and put it where it needs to go.
web parts are used by miscrosoft sharepoint to access other data/applications. it is not crystal specific.
to access crystal thru shpt yoiu need to install the crystal server web connector on your shpt box and then write a relevant web part.
refer to this from tne crystal site...
I realise I can't do it out-of-the-box but surely through CSP the values against the prompts on a recurring instance can be amended????
The error message isn't really the problem because I need to be able to do it to even if it doesn't fail eg an existing recurring report is emailed to 10...
it's way more time consuming to delete and reschedule - not least because, yes, there are in this case 10 distinct recurring instances. Most of our reports are scheduled to run daily and the destination is email. So when, as happens reasonably regularly, someone new wants to receive that...
I need to add the ability to modify recurring instances in CE85 however I am absoutely pushed to the limit for time due to other projects I'm on at the moment.
It is a problem that crops up time and time again - ie if the parameters on a report are changed and the report is then saved back to...
So in that case you don't really want the user to select the APS do you...
Then you will probably just have to amend the logonform to try the failover APS if connection to the primary APS fails - and then continue with authentication.
I've done a fair amount of hunting around and haven't seem...
85. So why have more than one APS if it's the same APS Db?
Anyway.... there's a simple answer. The inital URL takes the user to a form on which they select the APS. Just make sure the name of the form object matches the name of the form object on the logonform page. Submit to the standard...
Off the top of my head I'm sure you could quite simply change the logonform page from defaulting the APS and make it a select. However... incorporating SSO into that would be quite a headache I'd imagine.
I'm curious as to why you have two APS's running on the same server....
anyway... you...
We run two APS's.... one is a production server and one a development server.
Report Designers use the development server and we, the admin use it for testing changes to the application and the software environment (ie patches, DLL's, CSP, images, js etc).
Hi, I have used the patched import wizard without any problems... other than it not importing recurring instances but all the other instances (successful and failed) came across fine.
In my experience don't engage a crystal consultant - waste of money. The consultant didn't do anything we couldn't have done ourselves and he didn't impart any information we couldn't have got from a book.
I'm in the middle of an implementation at the moment going from SI 7 to CE 8.5...
