Are there any books on CE 8 or 8.5 available?

Two employees at Crystal Decisions have written a book on CE and it was susposed to be published on June 3, 2002.

I got a reply from someone who had a look at said book and the assessment was that's it's quite basic.

I agree with the last comment. Also the screen shots are very fuzzy. There is an overall tone of a sales presentation. They are NEVER critical of any aspect of the product. Howard Hammerman,

Ummm not to sound too cynical or anything, but do you really expect 2 employees of Crystal Decisions to be critical of the product they are trying to sell

I had the book and gave it away, but it does cover the basics quite well. If you've already worked with CE 8, the book doesn't take you much further.

The help files with CE8.5 are fairly comprehensive, and if you can get a tech support person interested in sharing, you'll find that they have a plethora of code and information not otherwise found.

If you're interested in CSP, advanced Administration, etc., definitely look elsewhere.

1. What are the differences between CE 8.0 and CE 8.5? Are there any Administration user guides or technical briefs available?
