But
When I enter a date in excel and choose to format the cell, the only xx-xx-xx format I am offered is the mm-dd-yy format. That is my problem...

Is there any way to change the month - day order in the cell format of excel 2000? Allthough regional settings and input locales are all set correctly, the proposed formats are always starting with the month instead of the day.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Try these (assuming server in profile is filled in correctly or is one of the other exchange servers on your domain)
1 go to a DOS prompt and ping the server's NETBIOS name. See if the translated IP address is correct. If not, you have a WINS issue. -> fill in correct servers or adjust lmhosts...
The problem is that on one of our clients outlook freezes when adding a certain pst file to the profile. On another client it creates the same problem, other pst files work fine. I ran Scanpst on the file but to no avail, as soon as I tried to add it, outlook was hanging again.

Go to the tech pages of MC Afee and look it up, it is in their database now. It wasn't in before, but now it is since we had that problem over here.

Is the outlook security patch installed? I once had that on a client after the security patch was installed. All of a sudden it wouldn't allow attachments because they probably had an extention that was know to be possible virus bearers (.doc, .exe, ...)
