On a client I accidentally removed the personal folder service. Because of that, I cannot define a personal folder anymore on that client, and I can't find any documentation on how to add it again on any forum. Maybe someone here can bring relief?

Thanx a lot in advance.

Kind regards,

Shadow.

Shadow, you said:

"Because of that, I cannot define a personal folder anymore on that client"

Why do you say that? What happens when you try to add personal folders?

What's listed now under Tools-Services?

When i check the services, exchange, PAB and global AL are installed. When i try to add a personal folder, i click add and get a list of available services (from which I removed the personal folder service) I cannot add it to that list again so that i would be able to add his pst file. When i click on disk and browse to the software it says that the version is not the same, allthough it is the same installation software.

Thx for your help.

Shadow.

You should be able to reinstall that service by:

Clicking the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.

Click the Install/Uninstall tab.

Click Microsoft Office 2000, and then click Add/Remove.

Click Add or Remove Features.

Click the plus sign (+) next to Microsoft Outlook for Windows.

Click the option you want to add, and then click Run from my computer.

Let me know if that helps.

The only file you should need to replace is the mapisvc.inf file. Either copy it from another PC or from the CD. joegz

Thanx a lot for your help all! I really appreciate it.
