I recently installed MS Outlook 2000. Everything works fine I can connect to the domain.
But Outlook cannot find the Exchange server.

The server exists and I can connect to it from another machine, but I cannot connect to it from this machine.

Any ideas, please let me know.

Thank you

Try to put the ip address instead of the name, you might have DNS issue

Try these (assuming server in profile is filled in correctly or is one of the other exchange servers on your domain)

1 go to a DOS prompt and ping the server's NETBIOS name. See if the translated IP address is correct. If not, you have a WINS issue. -> fill in correct servers or adjust lmhosts file.

2 if the translation is correct, try to do a net view on that server and see if you can see the active shares. If not you either have TCP/IP filtering on in your settings or the TCP/IP stack is corrupt (assuming you don't have a personal firewall that is blocking the traffic).

Hope this helps.
