We are converting digital phones to IP on about 66 gateways. We are doing it by buildings and some buildings are supported by several gateways. I was trying to find a easier way to list just the numbers I need.

On a IP phone, the spftkeys will not change with the status of thephone. When station is in a call state the softkeys do not change. Any ides why?

Why would a 9611 IP phone not have visibility of soft keys? Such as, when individual is in a call they do not get the option of the softkeys, no transfer options.

ddog6601; is the "Express Message" button a soft key, feature button? We are using 5.0 with a 9611 phone but have to use the 9650 set up, 5.0 does not support 9611. I am not seeing a 'express message' as a option.

Thank you for all of the replies. Yes, I am not a fan of using couplers, just feels like we would be creating another failure point. It would be for a temporary fix until furniture could be moved to allow the replacement of a longer cable.

If the Cat5 cabling is to short can you use a coupler and another cable to extend the length of a cable for the 9611 IP phone/
