You've got Phone A, and you want Phone A's voicemail to go to Phone B's voicemail box instead right?
Setup Phone A's extension as a secondary extension (or whatever your voicemail calls it) on Phone B's voicemail account.
Phone A is part of the coverage path for phone B. Sometimes when phone A answers a call for phone B she will need to send the caller to phone B's voicemail. Right now phone a is 8434 but we are replacing it with the 9611G but we are at version 5.0 and 9611 is not an option. So we are using 9650. What is the best way for phone A to send phone B's caller to phone B's voicemail?
The phone model won't matter much here. I would try either the Transfer to Voicemail Access code ("cha fea" page 4), or dial the VM Pilot number and press whatever the appropriate keys are for direct mailbox access. In Aura Messaging you would dial the pilot number, then the extension and then hang up/transfer the caller.
You can add an "Express Message" button to the phone.
Then when phone A gets a phone B's caller press transfer, then x-press button, enter the mailbox of Phone B and finally the transfer button.
ddog6601; is the "Express Message" button a soft key, feature button? We are using 5.0 with a 9611 phone but have to use the 9650 set up, 5.0 does not support 9611. I am not seeing a 'express message' as a option.
it is just a vdn pointed to a vector that points to your voicemail pilot number.
For example if your VM Pilot Number = 5000
VDN 7000 - points to vector 7000
VECTOR 7000 - points to 5000 (Pilot#)
The only thing that this button is doing is getting you to your pilot number so you can enter the mailbox that you want to leave a message in. (You can also use it to leave a quick message in a vm box if you do not want to speak to someone but need to leave a message...lol)
