Is it possible to setup one extension (214) so that all outgoing calls from just that one appear to come from our second of two allocated DDI numbers (and more specifically only during the break periods already set)?
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between TRS and the External Call Block feature? When would it be preferable to use one over the other?
Edit: I think External Call Block controls which Classes have access to which Trunk Groups and TRS determines particular numbers that may or may not...
OK, thanks, I've done that in 4.1.1 Extension Settings - what is the expected behaviour of Class 7 and can I modify it for time period and which numbers can be dialed, etc?
Edit: Thanks to your clue, I think I've found what I'm looking for. I've changed COS 14 to have TRS levels of Day:7...
I would like to restrict one extension (214) from being able to dial external numbers during the 'Day' period, except for emergency numbers. Alternatively, I wondered whether it might be possible to add a PIN to the extension so only those that knew it could make external calls?
Can anyone...
SOLVED! I have set the Break 2 end time to 17:59 and Day to end at 18:00. I seem to remember reading in another thread that there needed to be at least a 1min gap between Lunch and Night periods for the switching to happen correctly so applied the same logic here which appears to have worked.
I've now had a chance to physically watch the time service changing between periods: Break 1 switches correctly to Day which switches to Lunch and then back to Day as in the above screenshot. However, although Day then switches to Break 2 correctly, at 6pm Break 2 switches back to Day rather...
Just to update this thread for future reference, I have now reconfigured the NCP500 to use the same 10.112.172.0 network but with the 2nd gateway (10.112.172.2) as default. Port forwards changed accordingly. I've setup a static route on the .2 router to the VPN network (10.114.1.0) via the .1...
I haven't been able to try manually switching the time periods yet but... Interestingly (and oddly), with the settings above, the 'School' DDI redirects to voicemail as intended (i.e. after 10s) during the Break1 period but still uses the 30s setting during Break2 and Night settings.
The lights just flash as expected. Everything else appears to be working as set and intended, just not the voicemail overflow time. I feel like I'm so close and yet so far!
Apologies for not being clear. Is there a reason you suggested Day from 8.30-18, Break2 from 16-18 and Night from 18-08.30 rather than what I'd originally set i.e. Day from 8.30-16, Break2 16-18 and Night 16-8.30?
Thanks for clearing up the voicemail bit too - yes, I'd already read up about the...
Bingo...I think! Removing the leading zero has made everything work as intended. We haven't tested properly yet but the first hurdle appears to be overcome. Thank you both for your help and patience.
Don't know if this helps at all? The first row did have the CLI Ring set as Disabled for all four Day, Night, etc so have changed that as you can see - not sure if that would have any effect? (Can't test till the morning.)
Edit: I'd already changed the operator settings from 201 to 601 to see...
