Thank you all for the responses. I believe I have figured it out. It has to do with NAT rules. Once I connect the phone directly to the modem it connects to the phone system right away. I am going to be sending this to our network team to configure the firewalls to allow traffic.
Again thanks...

I have to agree with you in some respect. We are a Business partner and I have the AIPS Certification. Now I will admit that I am probably not on your level with IP Office. I just posted on here to see if anyone has run into this and had a quick easy fix. I am not...
I have IP Endpoints for licensing. Although it seems the I do have the proper licensing as I can get my 9621 phone to connect to the system in question with no problems.
I am having issues getting a 1616 to connect to my system. It will sit on Discover x.x.x.x screen. I have noticed that the file server IP does not seem to want to save everytime I look at the setup. It reverts back to 0.0.0.0. I am running IPO 8.1 and already have 2 remote phones working. I can...
I have been struggling with this for 2 days now. I took out a Nortel BCM50 and put in a Avaya IP Office 500v2 9.1. I set up an analog station port for paging. I know it works as I hooked up my butt set and can hear a page. When I connect the TOA BG-2120 amplifier with Line 1 (on the amplifier...
I am having a little problem. I have set up conditions for Christmas and generic holidays (ie. New Year's, Thanksgiving, ect.)
I have set up the calendar condition and picked my days but I do not want the whole day to be on that condition (ie. closing at noon). How do I add time profile to that...
I have read in Avaya's Application Notes for Intermedia SIP Trunk setup that there is a template for it. Although it does not say where to get these. Anyone have an idea where I can find templates for Avaya IP Office 500v2?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
I had the same issue with 8.1. My client was using Nortel Phones. I upgraded to the latest patch release on 8.1 and it fixed the issue. Upgrading to the latest patch release would but my first try. Simple to do and will let you know right away if it worked.
I am need of some help here. We are running IP Office 8.1 and VM Pro 8.1. Here is what were trying to accomplish.
-Call flow for Nurse on Call.
-Menu with a 5sec timeout that goes to Nurse on Call extn.
-If the press 1 (or something) they are able to set the call forwarding number for the nurse...
My guess is that you have to use compatibility files. Worked for me. Just google compatibility files + (you OS version) and you should find out how to find them.
For me (running windows 10) they are located in C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Manager
I have finally got SSA 9.1 to work with Java. Although now it seems that I cannot pin SSA to the taskbar. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!!
Michael
We've had a tech in our company, (that is no longer with us thank heavens), that has changed the security password for security settings and did not document it. I am hoping there is way to get in or reset security settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Michael
At one time I thought there was a configuration tool to go from a BCM50 to IP Office. For the life of me I cannot find it. Does anyone know where I can get this?
We have had issues with the distributed system syncing properly. We also closed one of the sites and now have 1gbps/1gbps at the main location. Bandwidth will not be an issue.
I am going to be moving my VM Pro distributed system (3 sites) to a Centralized system (1 Site + 1 Failover). Does anyone have the steps to move to a new VM server? I am hoping to keep all the existing VM's, Greetings, Names and AA's.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
I have just got a new IP Office with 9.1 installed. I needed to go back to 9.0 so I re-created the SD card with 9.0. Now when I go into Manager I cannot edit the individual analog lines or individual extensions. When I click on Line 2-8 it will not populate the settings. It just sits on Line 1...
