We've had a tech in our company, (that is no longer with us thank heavens), that has changed the security password for security settings and did not document it. I am hoping there is way to get in or reset security settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Michael

Take a look into IP500 installation guide ;-)

There are several ways. Using reset button or serial port.

In newer systems the administrator account has the right to change security settings as well.

Could be an idea to tell what IP Office model you have and the rel. version:)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Ok, make sure you have a freah copy of the config.

Serial cable reset (my pref):
Install Putty.exe on a pc with RS232 (or have a USB-Serial adaptor ready).
Connect to system and start Putty, select Serial, Com port#, 38400.

Command: AT-SECURITYRESETALL
wait...
Then enter the MAC addr dispalyed on the screen
Done.
(You may have to reboot the system if the command does not take)

Or you can do the button-move:
Default by pushing the reset button in the back for ~35 sec, send back the config you copied when system is back up as 192.168.42.1 on LAN1 port

Kind regards
