Well unfortunately you guys aren't local, the phone techs in our area are up to speed on the "more modern" systems and not the older systems as I am. And what you guys are saying is pretty much along the lines of "to change a flat tire, here is what you do....put a new one on, duh!"
I do grasp...
-Make sure a set in a ring group is not told to CFNA or CFB if it does not have a mailbox behind it.
-Make sure all sets in the ring group have their mailbox initialized so it can take answers.
Looks like most of the extensions in the ring group are CFNA to 251, but shouldnt they be?
1) When the receptionist puts the phones in night mode I am only able to have the extensions that I program in ring 3 times, we need at least 5 rings on those extensions.
What exactly happens after 3 rings?
It goes into our voicemail system with our pre-recorded message and prompts
I'm not sure if I am experiencing 2 separate issues or not now.
1) When the receptionist puts the phones in night mode I am only able to have the extensions that I program in ring 3 times, we need at least 5 rings on those extensions.
2) When we are in normal mode the lines ring 3 times then...
I changed rings to 5 from 3 on each one of our lines, we tested, the line rang 3 audible rings, voicemail picked up and our voicemail changed from the one we created to the general delivery voicemail greeting
Ok, I ran across that problem before where a random extension was getting the voicemail when we had the reception phone xfer to another extension while she was on break. How do I boost the CNA to 6??
We have the night mode set up on the reception phone (221) with the one button to turn it on, and I have the extensions set to ring on the floor that I want to ring in night mode, the problem is, we want the rings to be greater than 3 rings that we have it set to now when it is in night mode so...
We need to change the number of rings on night mode from 3 rings to 5 or 6. Also need to change the number of rings for each line (5 lines) coming into the office when not in night mode. I am sure the second part is done by AA ---> lines ----> ----> table ----> rings change from 3 to 5 but I am...
It was set to no for the lines i switched it to AA and tested again and it works now. We got our good afternoon, welcome to..... message. I'll try in the morning to make sure it changes to good morning....
Thanks!
Funny thing is I found the greetings that should play, morning, afternoon, after hours etc...Im just not sure how to get them to play when called or how to get the directory as an option for callers
Please help, all of a sudden our recorded greeting message is now the default recording when calls are unanswered and there is not an option for the business directory available to callers on no answer. I cannot find where to enable or disable the directory service.
