Appreciate everyone's help and suggestions.
This morning there was another lockup and this time it was preceded by a brownout alarm.
I'll be looking into swapping either just the power supply or the entire 500v2 chassis.
Otherwise I'm fairly confident I've got everything I need from a software...
It just locked up a short while ago. There was nothing in particular that seemed to precede it and no brownout or other alarms. Any particular items out of the myriad in Monitor that I ought to have ticked and be looking out for?

All this had me thinking power supply too, but the alarm list (which hasn't been checked often) shows about 1-4 brownout alarms per year for the majority of years between 2013 and 2023, though some years none. There were 2 in 2023 and none yet in 2024. Although I can't say whether the two 2023...
Good idea budbyrd... I don't know why but Monitor hadn't occurred to me for some reason (again it's been so long since I've worked on this stuff). Going to leave it running to see if I can capture any signs of the problem when it next locks up (seems an inevitability).

Thank you Nortel4Ever! I went searching this morning and managed to dig up two spare System SD/FK's along with printouts of their respective license keys. Both appear to have Essential/Preferred R8+ and my currently running R9 config is pretty vanilla, so hopefully this opens up some recovery...
My home phone system is an IP500v2 with a combo card @ 9.0, with a couple of analog trunks, an analog set, and several IP sets all using embedded voicemail.
Several months ago, the IPO began occasionally locking up (all phones go into discover, occupied trunk/analog ports on CC go solid red). A...
Something is definitely up with the API. I've experienced this issue on 9621, 9641 and 9670 in CM and IPO environments.

Everything I am able to find suggests that R6+ has a limit of 42 SBM24's on a single IPO. For what it's worth, I'm dealing with R8.1 here.
Does anyone know if this is a hard limit, or more of a soft limit (like number of users that can be put into a paging group)?
Similar to paging groups, I'm...
Earlier this week, Avaya provided a critical patch to address our TAPI redirect issue. Since application of the patch, the IPO is now passing correct IP information to the SIP provider and our issue appears to be fully resolved. As of Wednesday evening, the client was fully transitioned from...
It's been a while, and I figured I owe this thread an update.
We finally appear to be getting somewhere, though the problem remains unresolved. Another project manager for another Avaya business partner on the west coast actually reached out to me having the same exact issue. Fast-forward...
Our coordinated attempt with the provider did not go well on 10/3, as there were some related but unrelated problems with the provider's core switch that brought SIP down entirely for a good portion of the day. We were able to creatively route around this until we had service restored. We will...
Unfortunately, we are just fishing at this point. The provider had to cancel for this morning, so we're rescheduled for next Wednesday. It will be a little bit longer before we know of the SIP change has any effect.

Also, we're unable to reproduce the problem on any other SIP calls whatsoever, and have tried some SIP softphone programs which also work normally.

The Zeacom queues are SIP extensions and protocols match. We've tried almost every imaginable combination of settings on the IPO (DMP on/off, Re-Invite, codecs, etc.) Currently DMP, Re-Invite, and Reserve 3rd Party EP Lic. are on, and the codec is hard-set to G.711 ULAW which is what Zeacom is...
I'm working on an implementation of an IPO 500v2 at 8.0.443001 with VMPro and heavy Zeacom integration. The problem we're having is that any incoming SIP calls are getting dumped at the handoff to the Zeacom queue.
The caveat, is that this ONLY happens with SIP, not POTS, and even then ONLY...
Get Xima (ximasoftware.com)
It lives very happily on most servers already hosting VMPro (not the UC module). It's light, not a resource hog, and runs entirely web-based from anywhere on the network.

Sounds like you need call reporting. Avaya's (CCR) isn't always the best fit. Datel CallSWEET! is a pretty popular one I've seen with hotels and the like (that have to manage by-customer call logs for billing purposes, centered around checkin/checkout times).

It is possible. Contact your Avaya Business Partner (needs to be someone who deals directly with Avaya distributors, assuming you do not do so yourself).
The process of a license transfer (any license) involves purchasing a new feature key for the IP500 that's giving up the license. The...
Logmein.com
Very simple.
Spring for the upgrade to Logmein Central and you get a distribution link that makes installation of remote access a snap even for unskilled labor on the far end (in a pinch). It also allows you to have subcontractors or other setup access without giving out your...
