Hi all
I'm looking for an easy way to accomplish what should be simple. Thus, I fear, I have totally missed the point somewhere.
I want a users group which can add documents, create calendar items, and so on, but not edit any web pages, web parts and so on. You'd think that would be the...
Hey folks
Just purchased a new DS1 board for a 3rd T I'm going to add to my S8500/G650. In the documentation it says words to the effect of "don't use a CAT5 cable to run from the CSU to the smart jack". I can't say as I've ever used anything other than a standard CAT5 from CSU to smart jack...
My understanding is that you can run SIP trunks without adding SES, but not SIP based IP phones. The extra SIP server basically acts as the SIP gatekeeper. I will happily stand corrected on that though.
For SIP trunks you need a license, which is why under the custom options both columns are...
Hi all
I have a Rightfax server set up and I'm trying to use Mode Code with it. MCI is turned on and in theory it's all good to go.
If I dial from an internal extension Rightfax picks up the line, receives the digits and routes to the correct fax inbox.
If I dial from an external number, I...
Hi all
Anyone know what a 7400C DSU does ? I've got one sitting here that hasn't been used since before I joined my company. It must serve some useful purpose, just have no idea what.
Thanks
Pete
Ouch, a new version to run under Win 2K ? I dread to think how much that cost.
There's a little piece of software in the Win2K resource kit called the application compatibility tool. It doesn't do anything clever, it just tricks the CentreVu Supervisor's installer into thinking it's on Windows...
Here's how the procedure was described to me by a 3rd party tech, and it's a procedure I've down quite a few times.
Assuming the Audix is the Definity Audix 3.2 (rather than the external one) look for the little button on the card. Press it in and hold it there for a few seconds until the...
Recreate the Auto Attd extension as a VDN and point it to a vector.
In the vector, the line to send the call to the auto attendant should read :
messaging skill xx for ext yy
Where xx is the Audix hunt group and yy is the auto attendant extension number.
Queueing to the skill of the...
Hi all
This is a great one - either that or I'm showing a huge lack of knowledge.
My company wants to be able to bill for announcement time. The example is flight information for an airline - all the time the caller is listening to an announcement giving flight arrivals etc - we need to be...
Using the last four digits as station numbers would be great, but we're tied into the station numbers we're already and the LEC can't supply any DIDs with the appropriate numbers. Any other ways of doing this ?
Thanks
Pete
Hi all
Having come from an entirely non-PBX background, sometimes the easy things don't necessarily register with me sometimes.
I want to add some direct dial numbers. We have an ISDN T and I want to take a bunch of numbers from that and forward them directly to extensions.
If I do this in...
Hi all
I've just received a Callmaster V as an evaluation unit. We want to replace about 200 Callmaster IIIs.
I've aliased the phone as a 6416D+ and as the manual insists (we're running G3V6r3), given it a headset on/off button, and that's where the fun starts. Turning the headset on opens a...
I thought you needed craft logins to busy, release and test ?
All of my PBX logins are super-users, but none can do busyouts, etc.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Pete
They really should be able to give you access to craft passwords. The init password will let you change the extra-cost options, but craft won't so there won't be any issues there. The craft password basically unlocks the "busyout", "release" and "test" commands...
Hi all
Anyone know how the Definity software revision numbering works ?
I've got version 6.03.2.239.5 and apparently CallMaster V phones work on revision 6.1 and up by administering them as 6416 phones.
If I look at the version number of our software I shouldn't be able to use them, but the...
