Long story short, I did end up sticking with Communicator.
I found Equinox was not easy for staff to see when it wasn't connected. I like the auto login feature though. That's really the only thing Communicator is missing for me right now!
Seems I can also use teleworker license for the...
@TomMills
I did have a conversation about that and was still told to use Communicator because Equinox absolutely required changes (I found the manual config since my posts, and it works fine). It took nearly half a dozen calls and emails to get it....was like pulling teeth. I don't use ONeX...
Crickets?
Hoping someone can simplify the differences between these platforms. I now understand there is Avaya Communicator, one-x communicator, and Equinox.
I don't want to go with an obsolete client, or something that will be obsolete in a few years. However, I don't have the budget to...
I'm not an integrator, but an end user.
Hoping to get a quick and honest answer on this one. It's pretty simple
I just started using Avaya Communicator, version 2.1.4 with our IPO 500 v11 system. In a search to see if auto login in an option I realized there are newer versions of the client...
That's what I thought..... Thanks for the quick response :)
How does that all get set up? Is it essentially the same way that we have our H323 trunking between sites setup? We have different destination digits for each office. I'm familiar with the BCM but quite new to the IP Office world!
We currently have QTY 5 standalone BCM50s, running at various software levels, and using the voice gateways to dial between each BCM. We are adding in two new physical office locations and I'm debating about how I will set things up to incorporate them.
It has been recommended to go with the...
200, ouch!!
Hmm....I suppose I should have mentioned that I do refreshes between the changes. Things still go wonky. It only happens with 1 out of 5 BCMs.
Sorry for the lengthy post, but there's lots of info in here.
I have multiple BCM50s, one per office location. Each location has a SIP trunk and is run over a IPSEC VPN. In head office I have problem off hours where if another office calls an internal extension in head office it goes directly...
Yeeaaa...the more I think about it, it doesn't apply just to one model of our phones.
From speaking with an Avaya dealer he mentioned it could be my backup interfering. Apparently something happens in CP around 2am that will reset the MWI. My backup runs at 2:30am, so I can't see this being...
Seems I may be in the same boat as pccal. I continue to have this issue despite installing all patches (up to SU11 right now), AND replacing the hard drive at one site.
I'm waiting for it to happen again (usually does once or twice a month), and see if it is only the M7310's that have the...
Just wanted to chime in that I am also experiencing this issue in two separate locations. I have no idea why it started occurring all of a sudden, that's the frustrating bit! Very coincidental that they both started experiencing issues within a few weeks of each other.
Hello
I have a BCM50 running 6.0. I've enabled Call Recording in my class of service as necessary. However, it only works for external calls over the analog lines - incoming and outgoing. It doesn't work with the interoffice extensions, nor does it work between my other sites which have...
So I guess what I'm really looking to find out...is there any way to offer unidirectional link failure between these two vendors? I know Nortel has VLACP and Cisco has UDLD, but anything that could work together?
I'm using a 2960-24TT-L running c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-46.SE.bin, and a Nortel 5510 running 6.1.007. No spanning tree on either end. I have two GB ports on each switch setup with an LACP trunk, with media converters inbetween. Nortel is the core, and the cisco is the distribution. There is a...
