I agree again and they have their own corporate AV. Is there something that tells what ports need to be open and what files need to not be scanned?

Agreed and this customer has been running without for a few years and now its an urgent situation and they want it. I am hoping there is some documentation to reference if AV does get loaded. The CS1000 Call pilot has an guide for what is supported. Hoping the IPO has something usefull...

Have you paid for and taken the 3200 course? If so your office may be able to get more chances. If you have not paid for the course and have not taken it then you will have to if you fail a third time. These exams are open book and the answers are there.

The guide curlycord is referring to, I followed to a tee and I have a BCM 450 V6 and IPO 9.0 running great in my lab. I even have a ShoreTel Release 14 working just fine with the IPO and BCM as well.

There is a password reset tool but you need Avaya Support to give you a specific file of the day to work with the reset tool. BTW Avaya's rates are 600.00 if you do not have PASS support on the unit. Option 2 is level 2 reset, reload patches, reload licenses, reprogram by hand.

$500.00 will get you a power supply and Hard Drive for the BCM. It is then just time to image the drive with 3.6 and restore the database and patches. Then it will run for years again.

I have changed it to various times. It only seems to contact the NTP server when you make a program change to the NTP settings. After that it seems to never ever contact the NTP server again. Two weeks later and the clock is 4 minutes ahead again.

I agree with Curlycord, Use destination codes. We make provisions to allow the customer to simply pick up the handset and dial 911 or 9-911 and both will route to the PSAP. Requires a little more destination code programming but it takes the thinking away from the customer and they will reach...
The clock never seems to stay synced with the PC's. Both are using the same NTP server. Anyone seen this issue? Maybe a bad 450 BFT?

Power Supplies and Hard Drives (With the Imaging tool) and the BCM will go forever. The old BCM's 200/400 and early BCM 50's had the home grade Maxtor Drives that fail quickly compared the Seagates they finally installed.

Some carriers do allow a call when the original incoming caller ID on the first trunk is sent back out on the trunk used to forward. I see this in PRI situation all the time. Once the carrier opens up the trunks to have any caller ID sent out it works.

The only way to fix the problem is to install a later build of 12.1 that has the fix in it. If you are going to that extent you might as well take advantage of the free software from ShoreTel and get to the latest 13.3 or even 14.1. I would go to 12.3 at the very least.

Rebuild the DID as DNIS. If this works then you have corruption in the system and will need ShoreTel Support to fix it. There was a documented issue regarding this and it was resolved in a later build of software a while ago. Your ShoreTel vendor can have this resolved in no time unless you have...
