System was totally out of service with no lights on and no power to the 9508 digital sets. Only 3 phones, and one combo card. First I put a new power supply in the existing chassis. Same symptoms. So I got a new chassis and installed the system SD card and combo card and powered it up. This...
I just replaced a faulty IPO v2 chassis and it will not boot. the Cabinet is PCS 14 and the old system SD card is a PCS 07. It just keeps booting flashing red and never comes up. I've never had this issue before.
Thanks in advance.

Did the 7.0 upgrade also require an Essentials license or did it generate a virtual license with the upgrade to 9.0? I'm looking at doing the same thing.
Update: I grounded the system. Changed to S2 handsets. Advised the customer to use static guard (per an article by Sandman). Instructed customer to not unplug handsets with phone off hook. Result = Still losing handset transmitters. I am about to change out the processor but as I said...
I installed an ACS 6.0 that had been previously installed and worked with no issue. In the new location, with Partner 18 and 18d sets S1(4 total) I am losing handsets at the rate of 1 every couple of weeks. It's been installed since October and I have replaced at least 8 handsets(on a 4 phone...
I just upgraded a system from 8.1 to 9.0.3.941 and had a report today of echoing on lines that had worked fine for years. Only new hardware was a 4 pt analog uni and the lines in question are not in it.
No programming like that. The only thing that tries to go out on the VOIP trunks is when an ext. number from the other system is dialed. And no one does that as the systems have not been linked in over a year.
Hey all,
I have a BCM-400 4.0 with PRI that has been having some ghost calls. They were linked to another BCM-400 at one time through a VPN tunnel. But IP addresses changed and they didn't use it much anyway so the VPN tunnel has been down for some time(over a year) So while investigating the...
I have a BCM-400 4.0 with PRI that had been operating great for years. After a power outtage, it has been having Protocol errors and dropped calls. The CLID will read 1 or 2001 or some other combination of 0's 1's and 2's and then the call drops or there is nothing there when answered. I read...
I have 2 bcm-50 systems linked together over the customers existing data network. They have 4 digit extension dialing between the branches. A pri circuit comes in to the main branch system and has DID blocks for each branch. An employee from the remote branch moved to the main branch and...
It is just one employee. And I took his name out of the CP. Haven't done a reboot yet though. We did about 60 test calls to my office and never duplicated it. Next time I'm onsite, I will call my house just for testing purposes as well as perform the reboot.
I had that thought also. But one of the people reporting it is one of the main partners in the business who is seeing it at his residence on a personal land line. Haven't verified if it is POTS or VOIP yet.
I recently removed that employee's name from the CP and the issue is still occurring. I have triple verified that none of the DN are named. I am stumped.
Hey all,
I have a random issue happening on a MICS 6.0 with PRI. Usually, any calls made outbound show on the receiver's caller ID with the main business number and the business name. Occasionally, the caller ID shows the main business number but shows the name of one of the employees at the...
Hey all,
One of my customers has a BCM 400 with T7316e sets at their current location. They are opening a satellite office for their management group, most of which have existing DN at the main location. I have established a VPN and have some IP 2004 sets working at the satellite office...

Hey all,
I ran in to a strange situation at one of my customers. They have a MICS 6.0 with PRI.
The situation is a call comes in to the receptionist. She transfers it to one of the Partners. The partner hears the call start ringing and hits the DND button. The call returns to the receptonist...
