    g3 v8 ip trunk to ip400

    Doh...its actually a v10, not a v8.

    g3 v8 ip trunk to ip400

I'm looking into different options for an ip trunk between a g3 v8 prologix and an ip400 at a remote office. The prologix can be connected to a cisco 26xxXM router via either a DS1 card or a C-LAN/medpro combination. What is the functional difference here? Which is easier to configure? I...

    PEAP Re-Authentication

I'm running PEAP w/MSCHAPv2 and I've noticed that the credentials are stored in the registry: HKLM\software\Microsoft\EAPOL\Parameters\Interfaces\{ID} If you delete this, it will re-prompt for credentials. Not sure on how to get it to always prompt.

    interesting forwarding issue

Nope, that was the first place I checked. Any other ideas? Thanks.

    interesting forwarding issue

Here's an interesting situation. We had an admin assistant who managed a bunch of people's calendars. She at one point had tons of Outlook rules doing various things. One particular rule took new calendar entries for another user, and copied them to one of her folders. The admin left, and I...

    procmail

Im trying to filter ANY email hitting our sendmail box by using /etc/procmailrc filters. Right now, only mail destined for local accounts is working. How do I enable procmail for anything destined for relay as well?

    point-to-point ds3 config

Thanks, but it turns out that our Serial interface was bad, even though a hard-loopback test works fine. We swapped it out, and with no changes to the config, everything started working beautifully.

    point-to-point ds3 config

If I enable scrambling on both ends, neither comes up/up...

    point-to-point ds3 config

Its through XO communications. No backup ISDN. Actually the 7120 goes to an Adtran NIU3 which then connects to a Nortel Metro fiber mux.

    point-to-point ds3 config

I'm wondering if this is a cable problem. loopback local and loopback dte both work ok on both ends, but a "loopback network line" fails from both ends. What does this mean exactly? Is the wiring to the NIU at least good?

    point-to-point ds3 config

I've got a point-to-point clear channel DS3 circuit running between two 7120 routers, and its giving me grief: - with "framing bypass", the serial int is up/up, but it won't pass any traffic - with "framing c-bit", the serial int constantly flaps. If I ping, a few packets will get through...

    DS3 hardware

Hi, I'm looking to setup a point-to-point DS3 between two locations. What is the cheapest method to accomplish this in terms of hardware? Im assuming I would need two 2691s with an NM-1TE3 in each of them. This runs about $4500 for the router and $4500 for the module? $9k for each site seems...

    Headset / Drop feature button

Right, the headset button does do that, but does it also let you drop the last caller out of a conference call as well? Or does it hang up on everyone?

    Headset / Drop feature button

I have a user who insists there is a feature button that provides headset functionality, but will also drop a caller from a conference call- somewhat of a headset/drop button combo. Does any such thing exist? Our system is a Definity ProLogix v9 with 6408D+ phones.

How to export list of users created since 1 year to csv ?

I think the easiest way is to use CSVDE and export ALL users. Throw that file into excel and sort it by the date the object was created...

    IFS access, bad?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to collect messages to train our bayesian SPAM filter. We run a heterogeneous client environment, so some users are strictly POP, some are strictly IMAP, some maybe strictly OWA. OWA users cannot drag messages to public folders and neither can POP or...

    PIX and NATs Im guessing

Ah, so it is in fact a DNS issue then. You should always have two separate DNS servers. One that resolves requests for your domain from the outside, and another server that resolves requests for inside hosts. The external DNS server will have a minimal amount of info-- at least mx entries to...

    PIX and NATs Im guessing

I'm not exactly clear what the problem is here... If you want a host on the inside to access another host on the inside, always refer to it by its real ip address. Not its internet (global outside) address. You should have a split horizon DNS to compliment this.

    PIX and NATs Im guessing

Unfortunately this is just the way the PIX works. You cannot have a host on the inside access the public IP of another host that is NAT'ed. I'm not sure of the exact reason why, but probably because the outside interface would have to route packets to itself in some weird way.

    dual dsl pix

Thanks, that part is somewhat obvious, but what about the configuration specifics... Assuming 2 different wan IP blocks, what IP address is the pix outside interface given? Or, is it configured as some sort of internal/transitional network along with the router's 3rd interface?
