Additional info: the machinces are all on a Novell network using various HP laser printers. Some PC's are hooked to the network via Token Ring, Ethernet and wireless. I have tried both wireless and Ethernet and still have the same printing problems on the Win 2000 machines.

I was having about the same problem. I defragged in safemode and it completed in a reasonable time frame. Maybe an hour or so for a 13gb HD with about 50% disc space used.

I get an error when I try it: The instruction at "0x006f0043" referenced memory at "0x006f0043". The memory could not be "read". Using a Dell Inspiron 8000 1ghz with 256mb RAM and Win2000 professional. Abe

I had similar problem - talked to a few people and came to the conclusion that the head was slightly out of alingment. Called Dell and they sent a new drive. If I had to pay for it, it would have been less that usd20. The new floppy works fine now.
