I will have to try that method if this happens again. I determined that MQ was not being used on this server and a rmfs fixed everything. Thanks for your reply.

Hey guys, long time eh? I need some quick advice after a system crash during a migratepv operation (you guys using EMC might want to look at IZ17744).
lsvg -l sapvg excerpt:
0516-1147 : Warning - logical volume mqm may be partially mirrored.
mqm jfs 48 54 11...
You can use variants of this, which I have set as a function:
ps auxw|egrep -v "^USER"|sort -n +4
Larger users at the bottom. Keeps down the eyestrain. Note that this is inaccurate when dealing with shared mem. Also note that I am not really a performance guy. Anther fun thing is 'svmon -P'...
I suddenly find that I need to understand where Trillium (the address-verification software) gets its hostname info. I have a server where, when I attempt to start the director, it complains that it is already running on another server. It certainly is, but I need it to check localhost rather...
I find WE8DEC in v$nls_valid_values. The backup works great if I export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII, but we don't want that. We want WE8DEC.

This is our first shot at upgrading 9.2 to 10.1 and I see this when attempting to connect brtools, namely brbackup and brarchive. The parameter in .dbenv looks fine to me:
ORA_NLS10=$ORACLE_HOME/nls/data; export ORA_NLS10
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8DEC ; export NLS_LANG
Already tried the old...
I generally blame the Windows people for this and see what happens. Might try to make a new print queue to the same host and see if it breaks/whatnot. I use enq -qPqueuename but that is probably preference. Try stopsrc -s qdaemon;startsrc -s qdaemon, or enq -d to redigest the qconfig.

I assume you are pretty sure that the power cable you are using for it is hot. Otherwise I don't have any advice other than see what IBM says. Good luck.

I know I am late, but it always "not Monday" or "not Saturday". Less often is it "not Monday" and "not Saturday", coincidentally on the days you would expect.
I suggest picking up an O'Reilly Korn Shell book. Lots of great info. Also, for date/time calculations not suitable for cron, perl...
I hope I have followed along correctly. I'd try a syncvg to un-stale things... need good data on hdisk1, you know. lsvg -l rootvg will tell you which lv is stale, then you do syncvg -l lvname. After that you should be able to remove the copies from hdisk0, assuming it works. Good luck.

Been a while, but I believe so. The IBM CE often does a whole bunch of unimportant junk, but none of it involves configuring a device. The important thing is to not leave the hole open for more than five minutes.
If it acts "weird" I have some spare H70s I can test on, but not until next...
hard to read with the missing end-of-lines but seems like you are trying to execute the backup.script, is that the menu script?

Been a while since I asked one of my famous questions. I have been using piomisc_ext mkpq_remote_ext blah blah to make print queues. I am investigating some strangeness with a new Win2k server running JetForms and was about to do some research on this command. Seems like it must be deprecated...
