    home network

Are you able to share files back and forth? If so it is likely that its the aol. I use broadband and IE 5.5 so I haven't had any issues. Try uninstalling aol and see if you can share files. If this works then aol probably is the culprate. Is this a dial-up conncetion 56k?

    Slow node on a network

It could possibly the distance from the hub, or the distance the signal has to be carried. Another theory is how fast your computer can send and receive data. If it has a slower hard drive etc. The other thing which I can't think of right now is (window size) I recently had to change this to...

Had the same problems with the xircom modem/nic. I think it was an IRQ issue or it was conflicting with another card. Check network protocols, etc.

I just bought a refurbished HP Pav

You say you put everything in its place, it sounds like you put extra parts in it other than the network card. You say its refurbished and you just bought it so the next thing I would do is contact the company you bought it from and ask them what the problem could be. Im not sure what steps you...

I just bought a refurbished HP Pav

Did it work fine before you opened it and put the new Ethernet card in? Double check all power connections, remove the card and try it without the card, and worse come to worse the power supply could be bad.

    Asus a7v 200 fsb

I have the A7V133A that supports 266mhz fsb, so I will buy the one that supports the 266fsb. You should buy the 200mhz one. It is the one that best suits your system.

    Asus a7v 200 fsb

I looked into that, and so far I'm not sure. I was given information about finding it at the start up screen written as: 4.0x100 or something similar. I was unable to confirm this. Also I was told to look in the bios I didn't find anything helpful. I did upgrade to the 1005a from 1001c and...

    Asus a7v 200 fsb

These things must be true. First, you need to check the information on the ASUS site reguarding your specific board. Mine is as follows: With the Duron and lower speed Thunderbirds the bus=200mhz. With higher processors running at faster bus speeds such as the 266mhz fsb, the 1.4 Thunderbird...

    Asus a7v 200 fsb

Hey marksOn, I recently had the same question for asus and got a reply. I asked specificly about the A7V133A mobo and was told that YES you can upgrade to the 1.4ghz processor only after updating the bios, which you can get from: http://www.asus.com/products/motherboard/bios_socka.html#a7v133...
