Ah, ok.
So, disp paging loud says that '61' requires access to COR 1. So if I create a COR that has access to everything, but put a 'n' for 1, then that would disable access to paging for that COR.
Yes?
Just recently installed some analog stations for patient use in my hospital, however the phones have access to overhead paging.
Is there a way to create a COR that would prevent access to the overhead paging feature?
My system (Definity G3SI) is setup to dial 61 and make an overhead page.
I...
I have a vague understanding of COR's are for. What I don't understand is how to program them.
I pull up an existing COR on our Definity system, and all I see are lists of numbers with 'y' or 'n' next to them.
What do these numbers correspond to?
So, I have a couple stations that are set to ring in a group. The hunt group, answer group and pickup group are all programmed correctly. All the phones assigned to these groups have been working fine for the last 7 or 8 months now.
For some reason, one phone has decided it doesn't want to...
One of my facilities is setup so that certain stations have to dial a code in order to dial long distance or numbers outside of their COR.
Any ideas how this is done? I'm looking to use this same thing at another facility I maintain.
The caller would dial the number 9-1-555-1234, they would...
No mention of 299 in the details for sub 139.

So, I have an extension that used to be part of a hunt group, pickup group and answer group.
It has since been removed from all the groups to stand on it's own. But for some reason, when you call that extension, after 4 rings it goes to the voicemail for the old hunt group.
I've done a list...
That's pretty much what I'm doing. I have 2 DS1 cards in the system. Currently only one is being used. The other is programmed for an old tie to another facility that no longer exists, it hasn't been plugged into anything in years.
It's actually causing the occasional synch error because the...
Thanks, you've been very helpful. I'll call my new provider to confirm the DID's coming over an in-band signal.
So, changing the signal should be as simple as cha trunk 2, remove all instances of 01b14X.
Then rem ds1 01b14. then cha synch and remove 01b14 from the list.
Then I would add ds1...
Thanks, didn't expect such a quick response.
You are correct, it's wasn't a PRI, the system doesn't support it. Learned that the hard way, it's from an old T1 we had in here.
I'm in the midst of moving over to a new service provider, and I want to test to make sure the circuit is good. So...
How does one go about uninstalling a DS1 card?
I need to change the line-coding on the card, but it says I can't do it while the card is installed.
Any assistance would be great.
It's an Avaya G3siV5 system.
Anyone know if it's possible to double tap the paging port?
I'm about to start revamping my overhead paging system, and have an idea to make things a little better.
I have 2 amps and a large facility, was thinking of putting an amp in 2 sections of the building with their own tap to the paging...
Music can be heard while on 'hold', but when the operator 'parks' a call on a line to be picked up elsewhere, no music is heard.
I've checked the COR and Hear System Music on Hold is set to yes.
Maybe I'm explaining this wrong?
The operator get's a call, parks the call, which is different...
I'm bumping this in hopes of an answer. I'm looking for the same thing. Music for parked calls.
We already have hold music, but nothing for parked calls and a number of callers think they've been disconnected when parked due to dead silence.
There is nothing in disp paging loud about 'Hear...
