You can edit the incoming call treatment for your DID trunk group to strip the "72" and insert two other digits you choose, that fit into your dialplan. That creates the issue the phone extension doesn't match the external dial number but that's the price paid for not checking the dial plan first.
It accepts the number, it just doesn't send the call.
On PBX is N
Local is 9PPN
LD is 9P1N
AMIS Intl is 9PN

They have been putting in the ten digit number without leading "9" or a "1
We have notifications working to cell phones and pagers, but what would I change in the settings on an Octel to allow the notification to go to a long distance area code cell phone number? Thanks!
Intuity is its own server and keeps its own time - you can adjust by time zone if you have multiple PBXs in different time zones networked to the same box.
Getting into the administration will vary by release. What version are you running? If it's new you can probably just browse to it...
I have seen dropped call issues like this related to network issues rather than the PBX. We support a site in Phoenix that often experiences dropped calls during the worst of the summer months - typically they end up replacing what they call "heat coils" on the circuit. Something else to have...
Did the problem go away with a different CSU? We had an issue with a switch over the weekend where twice within a thirty minute period calls dropped, but it was stable otherwise. We too had the ISDN-SG and UDS1-BD 2305 errors. Our network is coming on DS3s, but I'm wondering if there might...
I have a question on an InterTel Axxess rel. 9.122. Voicemail is centralized but there are two switches in this network. Calls to a softphone in the remote site don't roll to voicemail (in the primary site) when the user is not logged in. Softphones off of the primary site do roll to VM. Is...
I have an Avaya Definity running release 1.3. They haven't yet upgraded it to the new architecture.
This morning at 8:13 it jumped ahead an hour - the history shows login "auto" doing a set time.
I looked at the DST rules and they were late by a week for falling back (I fixed them), but...
Avaya isn't cheap, but for many applications it's simply the best solution. Also, if you are interested in unified messaging and leveraging Microsoft's new solutions, Avaya's among the better ones in terms of integration and development. All platforms have their advocates, but for serious...
Just don't busy them both at the same time and you'll be fine. In theory your network can be unstable without an external sync source - I've seen all trunk groups in the switch crash, but I've not seen that happen on an Avaya. If the outage were brief it might not be service affecting.
In...
Go with the rack mounted gateways and you'll be fine. What you want to make sure of when you migrate is that you have the port networks load balanced and have plenty of resource for tone generation, etc., if you have IVRs and the like. You don't have to get rid of existing digital phones, just...
You need to license more - unfortunately RTU upgrades are no longer available for release 6. My guess is that you may still buy maintenance on a "best effort" basis for something that old, but you would have to upgrade to increase capacity or get additional features. Release 6 went out of...
IP is just transport - the point to IP telephony isn't to be "IP" but because it enables you to meet other business goals. Absent business drivers there's no reason to replace perfectly good traditional TDM with IP, but if you're building new you are having to build a LAN infrastructure anyway...
