I am working on a swich with errors (no maintenance support).

The outbound dialing keeps going out of service, I'm able to get it back by busying the DS1 board, the signal channel and the trunk but after a few hours it craps out again. This was working for 3 months straight without error until recently. I had the telco's do full intrusive testing and list measuments DS1 come's out clean. I can get access to the site later today and was going to move the DS1 boards around - I already replace the DS1 board on my end the other day to rule out equipment... two T1's total, but even with ARS they will only perform one function either inbound or outbound (setup as 2 way). Telco said they are two separate trunks. I've got separate trunks and 2 separate signal's setup. These are the alarms - any ideas on how to stabalize this switch are much apreciated!

When they are down, the last 2, 3 or 4 channels of the Trunk group show OOS/FE, but the signal channel shows "in service" When they try to dial out they get fast busy:

OOS/FE-Idle
ISDN-TRK Warning Out
TDM-BUS Error 3877 58
SYNC Error 1
ISDN-SGR Error 1793 & 769
DS1-BD Error 2305
SYS-LINK PRI
ISND-PLK

Thank you,

Toni

the TDM alarm is interesting,
try moving the DS1 to a different cabinet if possible rather than a different slot in the same cab

There is only one cabinet. The CSU was replaced tonight. Hopefully this will be the last of it... If the problem returns I'll be checking back in for sure...

Did the problem go away with a different CSU? We had an issue with a switch over the weekend where twice within a thirty minute period calls dropped, but it was stable otherwise. We too had the ISDN-SG and UDS1-BD 2305 errors. Our network is coming on DS3s, but I'm wondering if there might have been a problem upstream that was weather related.

Replaced CSU and all was good. First time I ever saw a CSU go bad.
