Is it a good idea to temporarily use an external USB drive to do the defraging? of course I would perform a full back up prior to doing this. USB drive will show on the server as another local drive. Please ask around first, this is only an idea.
try to stop the information store service , then delete transaction log files, since you don't have any mailbox on this store yet. or worse yet, delete the store and recreate one. dont feel so bad, this is a good learning process since your server doesn't have anymailbox yet.
Did you try reinstalling the Exchange softeware with the /disasterrecovery switch? what does the event log says? go to www.eventid.net to get the explanation on your events. good luck.
I am still getting the Authentication error. We have SSL. I could log in to OWA on the same computer that the other user try to log in to. The IE is not attempting to use IE. But this user could log in to OWA on a different computer. THanks
Some of our users could not log in to OWA on certain PC's. Has anyone encountered this problem before? On some pc's they are able to log in to OWA. Could this be an IE issue? we are using IE 6 sp1. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. My boss would rather see an external drive. I guess he has money to spend. plus I think he wants to learn and play with this.
I was wondering if anyone could please give me a suggestion on which SCSI external drive to buy (cheap) to be used on an Exchange Clustering LAB. This will become our shared drive for the 2 servers. Thanks a lot..
