    telnet between 2 servers

    I thought you could only telnet thru certain ports, like 23, 443, 21, unless it was an Exchange server. Why do you want to connect via poprt 25 and not 23?

    Outside Interface Access-List

    hey, UnaBomber---are you recertifying under the new CCNP cirriculum, or do you plan on going for things like CCVP? I'm having a hard time deciding on the CCNP thing. I'm a CCNA now, and I'm going to take the composite BSCI and the switching one, I think, then maybe CCIE Routing and switching or...

    IP Range

    Anything running RIP version 1 or IGRP as the routing protocols (unless it's an AppleTalk network) will only route in classful boundaries, because subnet mask information is not passed along in the routing tables. These are the routers/devices that will not differentiate between different...

    directing local / Intrenet traffic - gateway our add a route?

    What kind of router? Static routes would do the trick. Also, to get private ip's to route to the internet, the technology to use is called NAT. Isn't the frame costing a lot?

    Configuring Two Serial Lines on Cisco 2610

    You try ip route-cache command? The no ip route-cache on the serial interfaces turns on process switching, which load balances on a per-packet basis. Tim

    Dial-ups not browsing under OSPF environment

    My first question would be why migrate from eigrp to ospf. But, when you say they cannot browse, but they can connect, what can they connect to? Anything past the routers? Do you mean ping? Can the routers resolve an ip to a dns? Can the hosts in question ping an ip on the internet? Please be a...

    How to set up a VLAN between sites seven sites..

    For site-to-site, the dsl that is most practical is SDSL, so that upstream speeds are the same as download speeds. That will surely up the cost. See what the ISP charges you for that! Plus, compare the 1.5-4 Mbps with SDSL to the 54 you get with wireless. Good luck. Tim

    static nat

    First off, why subinterfaces on the serial? Are you still WANning with FR? If so, you need FR encap. Second, if you are frame relay, you can't have subinterfaces in the same subnet (all 3 of yours are). You need to map the dlci's with point-to-point, or in this case, point-to-multipoint...
