If I remember correctly I just deleted ALL uninstall files named *.isu from the system - this allowed me to remove sql.

yes - this is tried and tested by me. Seemingly you must restore to the netware server.

There's no 'repair' option, but i did try the 'rebuild registry' option. What I'm really looking for is a way to manually removed SQL from the box as this is also a Norton AV server and I cant afford to kill the server os. many thanks Blogg

Thanks, but there are 4 *.isu's in their relevant paths, i.e. Adobe, Javasoft and Liveupdate use their own uninst.isu but one does not exist for SQL. any more please?
