Wow, thanks guys. Actually after posting this, I went out to the truck and pulled out of the drive, and had a flash of memory. Blew some of the cob webs out. I remembered it was on the hunt form, just not exactly where.
Definity G3R8, we have a queue for service calls and would like to connect a strobe to an analog station port. This strobe to flash when there are 10 calls waiting in queue. I have done this years ago but the cobwebs keep getting in my way. Can anyone give me a quick snap shot of the steps in...
Retired from Avaya. Their website sucks. All else the best in the world. Try Google.com and all your search terms, should take you to the Avaya page MUCH FASTER! than wading through support.avaya, etc.
Hey, guys, we had been using Microcall for Windows for call accounting, it died. Can anyone suggest another (non-Avaya)
CAS for Definity G3R9? THe old Windows 98 pc died and could not get the software to load with XP or on our server.

I have the same equipment. Calls to my calling group return to voice mail after 3 rings to group 71. Can I make these calls ring the group until answered without returning?
I have some 9630 phones which have a four digit extension for a remote switch programmed on a button. The button label has the four digits on it. Like 6556. Can I change this to the name of the remote switch? Or any alpha label?
Can't find this in the guide anywhere.

I believe there is a limited number of ports per board, in the thirties, maybe? The way it was explained to me by Avaya is that each port can play any annc to any number of callers, but you only have a set number of ports, so there can be a lack of ports needed if that board is playing more...
take an rj45 connector, male or female depeding on where you are going to use it, and jumper or connect the white orange pair straight to the white green pair, or in other words pin 1 to pin 4 and pin 2 to pin 5, I think.
are you using vdns for transfers or are you transferring manually, that is dialing a number manually. If you are sending the calls to a vdn, you could track that, right?
Why not forget the vectoring and just have calls that ring from the A/A to your main phone, then the main phone has a cover path to phone #2 and then Phone #3? Or do you need calls in queue for an extended time? You could also put them in a pickup group so any ringing phone could be answered...
