Is it possible u have a virus already? Have you done a virus scan in safe mode? Some new viruses/worms attack and disable firewall and antivirus programs. Just a thought.

In Win98 there was a small applet called WINPOPUP which allowed you to send a text message to another PC (user)on your network. Can't find it in XP. Is there anything in XP that does the same and can talk to WINPOPUP on a W98 PC??
