Problem backing up PBX over xmodem

Went to lunch and indeed it did. Sure took it long enough! Yes it was an option 11 by the way. Thanks!

Problem backing up PBX over xmodem

So in my infinite wisdom, I decide to try to backup our PBX over xmodem: ld 143 xbk <cr> <cr> R> At this point I tell Minicom to accept a file via xmodem, and Minicom says there was a failure executing this protocol. Great. Now I can't access my switch cause presumably it's sitting there...

    Seeking international call suggestions

John, Ok yes, that was pretty much over my head. I have thus far stuck with move/add/changes so I'm not sure what ncos or rlb is. Think you could post the code and/or explain this in simpler terms for me? Thanks

    Phone Disabled?

Thank you for the information. Stating showed that it was ok, so I tested it in the wiring closet. Must have freaked out for some reason, but it works ok now.

    Seeking international call suggestions

I have a user who is trying to make an international call but cannot. I don't want to open up everyone in our office to make international calls for obvious reasons. What I'd ideally like is some access code that someone (maybe a manager) would have to enter to dial internationally. How do other...

    Phone Disabled?

Last week before going on vacation I setup a handset for someone and all worked well. When I came back I got an email from her saying she was out of the office for a few days, came back and it isn't working anymore. I have confirmed the wiring and that the handset hasn't gone bad, and the PBX...

    CFW revert

Using my example, TN 12 14 is the phone forwarded to (aka 2222) REQ: prt TYPE: 2616 TN 12 14...

    CFW revert

I assume you would remove it by doing a CLS SFD? If so, I just tried all combinations of SFA/SFD on 1111 and 2222. No change :(

    CFW revert

Erm. Disregard that last post. Here's what I meant: I added CLS SFA to both phones and unanswered calls to 1111 still go to 1111's voicemail box. I want them to go to 2222's. Am I missing something?

Hrm. I added CLS SFA to both phones and unanswered calls to 1111 still go to 2222's voicemail box. Am I missing something?

    CFW revert

Here's the example I'd like to work with: 1) User at DN 1111 CFWs to 2222 2) Caller rings 1111 which forwards properly 3) User at 2222 does not answer the phone 4) Caller is sent to 1111's voicemail box When someone forwards their phone to someone else and the call goes unanswered, I want it...

    External call forward security

I'm in the Atlanta area, so I can't limit CFW 8; it would have to be 11, as we have 3 area codes that are local (404, 678 and 770). Even if I could limit CFW to only those area codes, that would be better than nothing. I don't follow exactly how I would affect NCOS on the trunk or the set. I...

    External call forward security

After reading some old posts, I found out how to set CLS CFXA and the CFW key length to 11 to allow someone to forward to an external cellphone while they are gone. I understand that there are obvious security risks to this like having the person CFW their DN to South America or something...

Caller name not displaying on certain phones (caller id?)

Certain phones, when they dial other extensions internally do not show the name of the caller. The DN shows fine but no name. I have tried re-creating the DN/extension from a phone that does not have this problem but to no avail. How can I go about addressing this issue?

    Meridian mail navigation

Yea, it's a softkey. But in my ignorance I don't know how to actually hit said softkey. I was trying to reset someone's voicemail password. I thought the voicemailbox number was the same as the extension but it says no such mailbox. Step 1 for me is to get out of this menu. Step 2 is finding out...
