Caller name not displaying on certain phones (caller id?) 3

Certain phones, when they dial other extensions internally do not show the name of the caller. The DN shows fine but no name. I have tried re-creating the DN/extension from a phone that does not have this problem but to no avail. How can I go about addressing this issue?

Do you have CLS CNDA on the set - Callers name display allow.

DNDA is for reception positions as it will show the name of the person that was "Dialed" when it hits the reception phone and they can answer "Mr. Smiths office"

What is the command to check this setting?

It is in the TN of the phone, in the CLS section. If you know the TN:

LD 20, REQ PRT, TYPE TNB, TN ? enter the tn

If you only know the DN, you can fine the TN like this:

LD 20 REQ PRT, TYPE DNB, CUST 0, DN ? enter the dn -

Return past any prompts I missed, if you start printing out the whole system by accident, type **** four stars

Have you swapped phones with one that works? Could be an older set with display issues (not really sure if this could be an issue).

Also, does the far end set display the name when they call another extension? The CLS NAMA can be set to NAMD; which will not allow a name to be displayed on far end sets. Look to see if that is on the "other" phone. If not, the issue is with the programming (don't see anything) or the physical set.

I'll bet when that phone you printed calls someone, there is no name.

Because there is no name programmed. Look at KEY 00
