Newbie question: Downloads?
Well Wullie you may be right but in most cases a link to an .exe file tells the browser to prompt you with choices(IE) or where do you want to save it(NETSCAPE). Rather than write code which will be the same for every server and every browser you might as well zip it up (self extracting). Maybe...- OKeddy

Hi -sounds like you haven't actually tried this yet, if you make a link to an .exe file your browser will prompt you with 2 choices .Run this file from it's current location .Download this file or something like that...okeddy- OKeddy

Hi - I think you mean you want to move the line with the telephone # up a shade,well if you view source near the bottom of the page you will see this <td height="152"></td> just change the 152 to 20 or whatever and it will move up, hope that was what you were after..okeddy -

Thanks for your reply,I tried changing the settings you suggested,but no joy,all my settings are now the same as they were on my other pc,which as I said took less than a second for the same job,I think it may be something to do with the hardware,I have an epox 8kta3+ mobo. -

I have done a bootlog analysis and find the bulk of my boot up time is taken up by this: 27.78secs starting tcp/ip (NETWORK\MSTCP\0001) I have just upgraded and my previous pc didnt take that long for tcp/ip it took like less than a second. I am on cable and run w98,anyone any ideas??- OKeddy
