I am embarassed to admit that, No, we have not conducted a netcheck at each location. Are there any tools you can recommend for checking the networks?
Still looking for successful implementations.
Please describe your successful setup of connecting a IP2004 phone (from a remote office) to a BCM. We have 12 IP2004 sets in 12 different locations, wih varying results.
Any comments, advice, and experience is greatly appreciated. Also, I would appreciate knowing specifically what firewalls...
We have the same issue at our 20 remote locations all with I2004 phones. It just isn't sustainable to set up VPN tunnels and maintain them from each location. Is there a short list of which firewalls have tunnel to tunnel routing available? Would this need to be enabled on both the main site...
spen2 have you been able to resolve this issue. This has been an ongoing issue with us that we haven't been able to easily resolve. We have 10 remote locations, each with an IP 2004 set. And those locations can't talk to each other. FYI, a workaround is to call the complete 10 digit DN phone...
We have a BCM50 setup with about 10 IP phones in 10 different locations. Whenever one of the IP sets goes out (say it loses its VPN tunnel), the DN is immediately "Not in Service."
My main concern is that if a phone connection has dropped, that callers should at least be directed to that...
Gadflies,
Your post is interesting. Can you confirm that the user you describe does not have any hardware VPN in place at his location? When we were initially setting this up, the phone would not connect over just the software VPN. Is he using a Windows VPN or something more specialized?
I am just getting around to having one of my users fully test the I2050 softphone with the HotDesk feature. I would love advice on headsets and best practices on HotDesking.
I have a BCM50 with a strange issue. Let's say I am on a call, then conference in a third call. The third call connects, but if I am asked to hit any buttons (i.e. press 1 for Eglish) the conference call breaks. I just hear a light buzzing sound. If I hit the line with the call, I can hear...
We have a BCM50 with the digital T7316 sets in our National office. When I work from home, can I use the I2050 softphone with my same extension? At present, when I try to use my same extension with the SoftPhone it tells me the DN is already Registered.
Thanks for the post. I have been switching back and forth between a D-LInk and a Linksys Router on an as needed basis because my husband cannot connect to his VPN through the DLink. It's so frustrating.
I believe I have tried everything above, but maybe I missed completely diabling the...
Thanks. I am relieved there is a way to do this. I probably should have mentioned I have a BCM50. The structure must be slightly different. I don't have a "services" option.
Ok, I get it! I have Nortel phone system with Nortel phones. The IP2004 has the Nortel logo on it, not once, but twice.
Does anyone know if I can modify the "Nortel Networks" verbiage that appears in the information area of the IP2004 phone?
So, I decided to call our vendor. After a number of conversations with Nortel, he didn't get anywehere.
Anyway we unplugged the phone system for a few seconds, and plugged it back in. The Element Manager was back.
Has Anyone Used/Tested/Ordered a NEW IP 1100 Series Phone. According to the Nortel website, they are available with some intriguing new features, such as bluetooth and support of expansion modules?
Can anyone confirm compatibility with the BCM 50? Any idea of what the price point is on...
