If you need to perform any file transfer with the Element Manager you might also want to open up port (tcp) 443.
If you are desperate, you could try the "feature **time" from the telset if you can't change it from the Element Manager.
Alternately, you can use the Element Manager and configure NTP if the BCM 50 is connected to a network.

From the documentation, putty is not supported on the BCM 50.
There is no management CLI on the BCM 50.
All management needs to be completed through the Element Manager, telset or through the BCM 50's web pages.
