will a vcm4 fit an ipoffice 403 DT.
it currently has 3.0.580 firmware
the current vcm5 is showing signs of failing, it needs to be replaced.
new vcm(5,10...) seem to be much harder to find than the vcm(evens).

ipo403 is now dead after power surge, thanks to the thread ref above was able to confirm the problem.

the tapi is not called directly but via a piece of software called ExceleTel TeleTools v3.6 this allows the vb program to make calls and popup on recieving a call at the extention

i give redoing the config from scratch on the old ipo403. i had uploaded the cfg once it went through the wizard and confirmed no issues.
as for avaya's response i thought that might had been everyone else response too. but as i siad the firmware has been inplace for a long time...
via the dte port, i am getting a dab hand using that port unfortunly.
yes the ipo403 was replaced with new boxed unit, still the same.
least said about the s/w the better; as the manager could be reading this thread.;) the s/w has been working fine for the last year on that firmware version...
i have an ipo403 on 2.1.15, and has been that way for over a year without any problems until now.
the avaya box reboots at different times of the day, and i have run out of possible tests to do.

i do not know about the 406 but the 403 has a time clock battery which plugs onto the main board. i found this out when i had to install a new vcm.
maybe that is at fault not the mainboard

What can the maximum distance between a IPO403 base unit and a IP400 DT30 expansion unit be ?
i have looked through the ipo403 manual it tells me that i need a "Expansion interconnect cable" but it does not say what the maximum distance can be between the two units.

the messages and their status (new, old and saved) are correct; the mailbox names are correct
