I've got a 406 V2 that is not keeping time. Whether it is manually set or set via time server, it does not progress. Does anyone know if there is some sort of setting (DTE or other) that turns it off/on or is it simply hardware?

I have a simulair issue. It's a hardware failure.

Connect to the system with MONITOR program. See if you see any issues with the Timing Crystal. If so, its a hardware failure indeed, and you'll start seeing other flakey things happen over the next few weeks until its replaced.

i do not know about the 406 but the 403 has a time clock battery which plugs onto the main board. i found this out when i had to install a new vcm.

maybe that is at fault not the mainboard

forgot to describe it.
it is yellow, rectangular with 6 pins on the underside which push fit into a socket on the board
