    ODBC & Real Time Display

Hey publicvoid. I've got a real old version of Symposium (3.0) and I've been battling this problem for a number of years. In a nutshell the realtime data is not in any of the public views available. The only option is to some how find the sa password which nortel will not hand out. (If anyone...

    What happened to my thread?

Did you ever find the password for sa? I'm trying to get in to my database as well.

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

I have a feeling the info is kept in the e* tables. But using a symposium login will not give you permissions to those tables. I'm assuming you need to have the sa password to get to those. Do you know the sa password to you Sybase install?

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

If that is the case, what database and table is it using? Can you get to more information with a user with more permissions? If there is a way to tap in to this database that would solve a ton of obstacles. Anybody know?

    Custom Real Time Reports

We're taking about this on this forum. Not sure if you've checked it out. We are taking more about sowing RTD on a webpage, but there are some other solutions listed.

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

That would be nice, now wouldn't it. But unfortunately symposium does not keep realtime info in the database. You can only get a minimum of 15 min increments out of the symposium database. All realtime information is transmitted through a data steam over the network. So that won't work. Unless...

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

This is actually a client side javascript. The user's web browser pulling the image on a regular basis. But I understand trying to keep the costs low. If anyone else needs the script let me know.

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

If you need it, I've got some javascript you can use that will auto refresh the image. That's what we are doing here and it seems to be working well.

Publishing Symposium stats to a web page

That is currently what I am doing for RTD's. It's a pretty dirty hack though. It will have to do until we shell out the cash to upgrade to the latest verion with web client.

    Sybase User setup

I think I found the answer. You can use the same user and password from the client and it seems to connect just fine.

    Symposium newbie and symposium 3.0

Unfortunatly my distributor does not know what version that would be. Do you know a version number that will work on XP for SCCS 3.0 server?

    Symposium newbie and symposium 3.0

I understand the official Nortel stance on the issue. I was just curious if any one had any experience with the situation or a workaround. If all else fails we'll get some NT4 virtual machines going and load the client up on those until we upgrade to SCCS 5.0 (or 6.0 if it takes that long) Does...

    Symposium newbie and symposium 3.0

This is the ultimate question. Is there any SCCS client that will run on windows XP and connect to a SCCS 3.0 server? That is the end question.

    Symposium newbie and symposium 3.0

Currently, I've just installed the SCCS Client 04.01.07. I'm assumeing that the SUs will show up in Add/Remove programs. Is there a place I can download the updates?

You're going to need to help me out. I'm really, new to symposium. Are those updates to the client or the server? And where would I locate that information? Thanks.
