Just spoke to an Avaya/Nortel programmer and he said the closest we have to doing something like this, is a little of the opposite: There is an AHA mnemonic that when enabled would allow the caller to place the existing on hold automatically by pressing an incoming call key.
Maybe the guy had...
I Have a situation on our CS1000 system whereas a visually impaired individual would like his set to automatically answer an incoming call merely by placing the existing call on hold. Any thoughts? Was thinking it would be 'AAA' in class, but that does not do what he is looking for. Thanks for...
Hey Guys....
Have a problem that even Nortel (Avaya at this point) has not been able to figure as of yet.
Our daily Morning Routine Backup is successful - but fails to replicate on the secondary drive.
Any thoughts?
Here's the lowdown so far:
I swapped with a spare RMD and did an EDD and it...
Certain loop channels lock up and calls can not pass them in the hunt sequence. It appears after there is an event or maintenance involving the Manhattan switch. Possibly relating to or following a system restart. We are not aware of this until multiple users report the problem. Incoming...
Hello all,
The private line (DN) does not ring on the set when dialed. (Busy called from internal/ long continueous ring from outside). Either way - does not ring on any ACD sets. All are acquired in Symposium - not that that should matter. We have a CS1000/Succession/Option 81C. Thanks for any...
This is a straight-forward question. I am a vendor and the client has asked me the following 2 questions regarding Optivity's Call Database Editor:
'Upon deletion of a call record:
a. Is that call record lost forever? And;
b. When you delete a call record - could that
action send out...
I agree with John Poole that Optivity can be (is) quirky. I have roughly 5-6 years experience with this application but have yet to find an answer to the simplest questions - not even in the NTP's.
(Wait for chuckling to stop)
I would like to know - from anyone who might know - if Optivity...
Hi John. I believe you have helped me (and countless others) in the past.
I mentioned the 2 scenarios to the 'techs that be' - and one of them replied that because this is a 'Succession/CS1000M' System - it probably has more to do with the Sig-Server for eg.
Do you agree with this - and...
I hope this is the correct forum for this dilemma - here goes:
Callers in our White Plains office are making calls to '917' area code from their system.........which then routes the call out from our Manhattan office. The problem is that only the last 4 (four) digits of the callers number is...
Hi all.
A user from our White Plains office places a call to a '917' number (for eg.) and the call is then routed to our Manhattan office.....the caller i.d., however, is only posting the last 4 digits or the callers number?! We have a CS1000M System.
One of my accounts end-users is getting harrassing (not police worth as of yet) phone calls. Bothersome at the most at this point. The person receiving these calls is a shirt and tie, upper elite office superior - lol. Everyone is hounding me for a way to take this offenders number and have the...
The voice mail ports (all of which reside on 2 cards in the Option 81c) read 'BUSY' every so often. I get inundated with calls saying that when people try to retrieve their messages - they get a busy signal...logically. My question - therefore - is:
Is the Option 81c bear some responsibility for...
I am working on an Option 11c and am having trouble generating a generic display (5000 eg.) to appear on outside dialed numbers. Right now - a string of numbers appears that I am assuming is part of the PRI ID belonging to either Verizon or the vendor. Any help would be appreciated.
I am working on an Option 11c and would like to program it so that if a call is made - the dialed number sees a '5000' (eg.) on their display. Right now it is reading a long string of numbers that I am assuming is part of the PRI configuration that is being used as the carrier.
O.K. My problems remain 2 fold.
1 - I still cannot break dial tone after dialing '9'
- I recieve ERR 624 message (ESN/NCTL data block
pointer (?!) missing or invalid?)
2 - My DCH still comes up in WRONG MODE.
- The error messages for that are as follows:
.DTA 21 (Frame...
Ok - I'm doing something wrong - lol. Now my D-channel is coming up with a 'wrong mode' message. My 'side' in ld 17 is set to 'user'. There must be something wrong with either my tmdi or dch config. I was under the assumption that a new install on an 11c stand alone system would be breeze. Boy...
Thanks Johnpoole. Realize - also - that the 11c is a standalone system and will not be connected to the 81c. I am interested in seeing the 11c programming as well.
Thanks again for such a quick response!
I've been a Nortel Tech for over 8 years (certified and all) but I've only worked on the larger systems. I am now trying to program an 11c to dial out. It is a backup system to the 81c and I 'borrowed' a PRI from the 81c to accommodate the 11c. The problems are:
1 - I can't seem to break the...
