I Have a situation on our CS1000 system whereas a visually impaired individual would like his set to automatically answer an incoming call merely by placing the existing call on hold. Any thoughts? Was thinking it would be 'AAA' in class, but that does not do what he is looking for. Thanks for any help.

Just spoke to an Avaya/Nortel programmer and he said the closest we have to doing something like this, is a little of the opposite: There is an AHA mnemonic that when enabled would allow the caller to place the existing on hold automatically by pressing an incoming call key.
Maybe the guy had it backwards and was doing something along this line? (no pun intended)

Feature description
The Automatic Hold feature allows an active call to be put on hold without having to use a
separate Hold key. There are three ways to put a call on hold with the Automatic Hold feature:
• Press the active call key. The established call is automatically placed on hold.
• Press an idle Directory Number (DN) key. The established call is automatically placed on
hold.
• Press any idle key and the established call is placed on hold.
If a set user is on an established call and wishes to answer an incoming call or initiate an
outgoing call, the set user can press any idle DN key to place the call on hold and either initiate
or establish a call on the same key. To terminate a call with the Automatic Hold feature, the
Release key must be pressed.
This feature requires a new Class of Service implementation (Automatic Hold Class of Service).
